Dustin!

So we have tons of other pictures we want to share with you, but because Dustin and I are in the school library and I have a very limited window between "happy Dustin" and "instantly very upset Dustin," this is all you get for now. He's two days old in this picture and he's basking in the sunlight (to get rid of the jaundice). Dustin was born on Monday June 8, 2009 (the day after our first-year anniversary) at 8 pounds, 6 ounces. Yay! Ohhhkay...he's waking up, so I have to go...

In the Hospital

This was taken after I'd been moved to the postnatal side of Labor & Delivery, a few hours after Dustin was born. I don't think I've ever been more tired and worn-out, but awake in my life!

What a Trip Continued

"Thank goodness that's over."
He's so precious.

Nana!

Grandpa A. (my dad), me, Kearney, Dustin and Grandma Tina (my step mom).

What a Trip!

We arrived at the hospital at 2:00 am.

Although recommended by some, going through contractions while standing was not my favorite!

Look at his poor little cone head, which is my own fault. However, don't judge, because I think you would have asked for the vaccum too after almost 2 hours of pushing and no epideral!

A hefty 8 pounds and 6 ounces...and a good set of lungs to boot.

A proud new daddy.

Still Waiting

We officially went to our last OB appointment a few hours ago. No new progress, although at least we know the baby is healthy. Our doctor scheduled us to be induced on Monday morning at...2:00! That's right, two freakin' o'clock in the morning. So, if we don't have the baby by Sunday night, then we're for sure going to have him sometime on Monday! Yay, very exciting! Wish us luck! (Us actually just means me since Kearney can't really be induced.)

Baby Update

I'm supposed to give birth to a baby today. Kearney and I have pretty much tried everything you can think of to induce labor naturally, but Baby Wood seems to be quite stubborn. At our last appointment (last Thursday), we were asked to make another OB appointment for this Thursday, and the doctor went ahead and scheduled us to be medically induced on Monday the 8th. Hopefully we wont have to go that route.
